Description

It’s easy to think communication is straight-forward. It isn’t, because communication occurs on multiple levels at once – physical, verbal, and psychological. Engaging with others is complex and to do it well requires skill and practice.

This workshop has been designed for those who need to communicate effectively with different types of people/personalities, deal with clients professionally, manage conversations and improve networking. Using processes like those which actors use to create believable characters, you will build your understanding of how interpersonal dynamics work – the multiple levels of communication. The workshop will help you learn how to forge positive connections with your audience, how to tailor your interaction and delivery to suit different people, and how to manage your body, mind and emotions in the process.

This workshop includes:

  • Stepping into the scary space – how to make coming out of your comfort zone a positive experience

  • Speaking – how to use your voice to communicate engagingly

  • Body language – how to use your body language to send positive signals

  • Being spontaneous – learning to speak ‘off the cuff’

  • Building resilience – quieting the negative voice in your head

The schedule of the event is as follows:

  • Registration - 9.15am

  • Morning session – 9.30am to 12.30pm

  • Lunch break – 12.30pm to 1.30pm

  • Afternoon Session – 1.30pm to 5.00pm
